Student Affairs Office - Assistant Director of Student Affairs

Reporting to the Director of Student Affairs, the appointee will be responsible for the following:
- assist the Director of Student Affairs in overseeing the planning, organisation and delivery of student development programmes and services to enhance student’s learning experience and support the strategic development of the University;
- lead and work with teams in various functions, with a focus on enabling student success and enriching campus life;
- support the Director of Student Affairs in deliberating policies and practices for supporting students and meeting their needs, handling critical incidents as needed and coordinating various functions for enhancing optimum performance; and
- coordinate department-level and university-wide activities and projects e.g. First-year and transfer student experience and student groups with special needs.
Applicants Should
- have good academic and professional qualifications with substantial years of relevant experience in tertiary education;
- have passion for student development and learning with a proven ability to work with staff and students effectively;
- possess very good leadership, planning, analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills;
- be flexible and adaptable with a commitment to responding to rapidly changing needs;
- be able to work as an individual contributor as well as an effective team member; and
- have good command of English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua).
